Ford Campaign: Duncan Stands By Alleged Rapist For His Own Political Gain

Las Vegas, NV -- Today, Wes Duncan’s campaign made it clear that he would continue to stand by Storey County Sheriff Gerald Antinoro, who faces multiple allegations of sexual misconduct including sexual harassment and rape. Ford campaign manager Peggy Yang issued the following statement in response:

“For Wes Duncan, justice isn’t blind. Even after an independent investigation found that Gerald Antinoro sexually harassed a former employee, multiple other employees reported sexual misconduct, and a woman accused Antinoro of raping her while on duty, Duncan accepted an endorsement from Gerald Antinoro, campaigned with him and has refused to renounce the endorsement. Wes Duncan’s refusal to disavow the endorsement of known harasser and alleged rapist, Gerald Antinoro, proves that he has one set of rules for his friends and political allies and another set for everyone else. Duncan can’t create a safer Nevada as long as he’s protecting a predatory sheriff, and Nevadans can’t trust someone who would put his political career ahead of protecting victims.”
