Former Nevada Attorney General Frankie Sue Del Papa Endorses Ford for Attorney General
Las Vegas, Nev. — Today, former Nevada Attorney General Frankie Sue Del Papa announced her endorsement of Aaron Ford for Nevada Attorney General.
“I am proud to endorse Aaron Ford as Nevada’s next Attorney General,” said Attorney General Frankie Sue Del Papa, who served as attorney general from 1991 to 2003. “Aaron has helped victims of domestic violence and sexual assault and led the effort to reduce and ultimately eliminate Nevada’s backlog of untested rape kits. Aaron has the determination and fortitude to protect consumers, take on scammers and assist crime victims. I am confident Aaron will continue to put Nevada’s families first and help keep our state safe.”
Attorney General Del Papa is a trailblazer and strong role model for Nevadans. A former University System Regent, Del Papa became the first woman elected Nevada Secretary of State, and then, she became the first woman elected Nevada Attorney General. During her three terms as attorney general, Del Papa was focused on consumer protection, established a Medicaid fraud unit, and created the first statewide domestic violence commission. Today, Del Papa remains active with the National Association of Attorneys General and is a member of the Society of Attorneys General Emeritus.
