Neena Laxalt Endorses Aaron Ford for Attorney General
Las Vegas, NV -- Today, Neena Laxalt announced her endorsement of Aaron Ford for Attorney General. Ms. Laxalt is a prominent Nevadan and the youngest daughter of former Republican Nevada governor and U.S. Sen. Paul Laxalt and Jackalyn Ross Laxalt. Neena is the single mother of one daughter.
“I’m proud to endorse Aaron Ford for Attorney General,” said Neena Laxalt. “I’ve long respected Aaron and strongly believe he has the background for what our state needs in its next attorney general: qualified, highly intelligent, sophisticated, extremely educated and well-informed on the most crucial issues facing our state. I know Aaron is a good family man and will uphold the values that Nevadans hold dear, protect our families and communities and stand up for what’s right. Most importantly, based on his background and track record, I am confident that one of Aaron’s priorities will be the protection of the women and children of our state. He cares deeply about the imminent issues facing our state and will be a considerate and thoughtful attorney general for Nevada.”
Neena Laxalt is a descendent of immigrants from the “Basque Country” and Ireland who came to Nevada to pursue sheepherding, mining and governmental positions. She is a second generation Nevadan who grew up in Carson City. Ms. Laxalt has been involved in state politics for more than 20 years, and was appointed by Governor Sandoval to serve our state as Co-Chair of the Nevada Sesquicentennial Planning Committee and as the Vice-Chair of the Nevada 150 Commission.
