Aaron Ford Statement on ICE’s Federal Overreach Across The Nation
Attorney General Aaron Ford released the following statement on ICE’s action across the nation including killing two American citizens in Minneapolis:
“The safety of American citizens is not a Democrat or Republican issue. When Americans are dying at the hands of federal agents, that’s not a successful mission. It’s a failure.
“ICE’s federal overreach has gone too far. And the President let an operation move forward that was poorly planned, poorly executed, and needlessly violent, resulting in masked federal agents taking the lives of Americans.
“As Nevada’s top law enforcement officer, my priority is keeping Nevadans safe. It's shameful that our Governor, Joe Lombardo, refuses to speak out or stand up to President Trump. That's not leadership. I assure the residents of Nevada that I will use every resource available to me to keep our communities protected.”
