PRESS RELEASE

Aaron Ford Slams Lombardo’s Pathetic Data Center Giveaway Masked As A Second Term Agenda

In response to Joe Lombardo’s pathetic excuse for a second term agenda, desperate attempt to rewrite four years of unchecked tax breaks for data centers, Attorney General Aaron Ford released the following statement:

“Joe Lombardo is panicking – after writing “blank checks” to data centers virtually his entire term in office, he now claims no more “blank checks” in this pathetic, last-ditch attempt at saving his failing re-election campaign. But his record as Governor speaks for itself: four years of flooding Nevada with unchecked data centers, jacking up the cost of living, and selling Nevada out to Donald Trump and his “billionaire friends.”  Lombardo has given a $240 million sized blank check to the data center interests bankrolling his campaign, while Nevada suffers some of the worst schools in the nation, pays some of the highest grocery and gas costs, and lacks enough hospitals or affordable housing for working people to survive.

“After raising costs for four years, Joe Lombardo still has no plan to lower costs for working families. As Governor, unlike Lombardo, my top priority will be to make things cost less and put money back in Nevadans pockets — and I have a plan to get it done.”
