Ford Continues to Restore Millions in Funds to Nevada After Lombardo Called Lawsuits ‘Unfortunate’

Attorney General Aaron Ford continues to successfully defend Nevada from Trump’s reckless DOGE cuts while Trump-ally Joe Lombardo called Ford’s lawsuits “unfortunate”. General Ford’s lawsuit against the Trump administration illegally terminating public health grants saved Nevada $35 million in grant funding. If Lombardo had it his way, he’d allow Nevada to lose millions of dollars in funding while Nevadans lose jobs and suffer.

New reporting found that states with Democratic attorneys general who fought back in court against the Trump administration’s reckless DOGE cuts saw money for public health efforts restored while other states sustained “big losses”. Earlier this year, Lombardo’s press office effectively endorsed Trump’s DOGE cuts, tweeting that “we need DOGE reforms in Nevada!”

“Joe Lombardo is afraid to stand up to Donald Trump’s agenda that’s harming hardworking Nevadans — I’m not,” said Attorney General Aaron Ford. “I will continue to stand up for Nevada families and protect the rule of law even while Lombardo bends the knee to Trump’s reckless agenda.”
