PRESS RELEASE

Ford Announces $1.1 Million Raised For Launch, Record First Month Haul

Ford raised more into his campaign in the first month than any candidate challenging an incumbent governor in Nevada history

Today, Attorney General Aaron Ford announced that he raised $1.1 million in July and August. In the 30 days following launch, Ford raised $460,000 into his campaign — the most raised in the first month for any candidate challenging an incumbent governor, including Joe Lombardo. With 3,237 individual donors, 85% of them being under $100, and donations from all 17 counties, Ford’s support signals a commanding start with broad support for his candidacy across the Silver State.

In July and August, Ford raised nearly $800,000 into his campaign and an additional $305,000 into an affiliated PAC, bringing the total raised to $1.1 million.

“Across our state, Attorney General Ford hears from Nevadans who are suffering in Joe Lombardo’s economy — being squeezed by record high costs while struggling to make ends meet,” said Ford for Nevada Campaign Manager Zoë Kleinfeld. “Nevadans are looking for a Governor who understands the economic pressures people are facing and who has the experience to deliver real solutions. They’re finding that in Aaron Ford. This campaign is about building a stronger, more inclusive economy where every Nevadan has the opportunity to succeed.”

Ford raised more into his campaign in the first 30 days than any non-incumbent Democratic gubernatorial candidate in Nevada history. He has secured the endorsements of a majority of Democratic state legislators. In July, Ford received the endorsements of Nevada’s entire Democratic Congressional Delegation – underscoring the broad, united support behind his campaign.
