Ford Calls Out Lombardo for Campaigning with Trump’s Crony Dismantling Education Department

Attorney General Aaron Ford released the following statement in response to Joe Lombardo campaigning with Trump’s Secretary of Education Linda McMahon, who is leading the efforts to dismantle the Department of Education:

“Joe Lombardo choosing to campaign alongside Donald Trump’s Secretary of Education who is the architect of defunding public education is appalling. It’s not surprising that the governor who supports eliminating the Department of Education and vetoed the bill to guarantee school meals for Nevada students would rather spend his time kissing up to Trump and hanging with another one of his cronies instead of actually standing up for our students and educators. Lombardo is proving yet again that he doesn’t give a damn about Nevadans, and always puts Trump and his extreme anti-education agenda first.

“As a former public school teacher and Nevada’s next Governor, I will always stand up to protect Nevada’s public schools and put money back in families’ pockets at a time when the Lombardo-Trump economy has run them dry.”
