NEW: As Gas Prices Skyrocket, Lombardo Doubles Down on Support of Trump’s Iran War

As gas prices in Northern Nevada skyrocket above $5.00 a gallon, Joe Lombardo wrote a letter supporting Trump’s new budget bill to shovel another $70 billion towards his disastrous Iran War – which has already wasted $37 billion in taxpayer dollars. Lombardo is once again doing his two favorite things: supporting a cost-raising waste of taxpayer dollars and licking Donald Trump’s boot. 

Nevadans are feeling the pinch from Trump sending gas prices above $5 a gallon with his Iran War that Joe Lombardo supports. Trump’s re-escalation of the war has forced gas prices to shoot up to an average $5.17/gallon in Reno and $4.85/gallon in Las Vegas. This gas price surge comes as Nevadans are already struggling to afford to live in the failed Lombardo-Trump economy.

“After all the pain at the pump Nevadans have already suffered thanks to Trump’s Iran War, Joe Lombardo is doubling down on his support and seeking to funnel billions more taxpayer dollars towards it. This is the “pain” Lombardo wants Nevadans to feel in order to placate Trump,” said Attorney General Aaron Ford. “Nevadans need a Governor who will stand up to Trump and his cost-raising agenda, not bow down to his every whim. Lombardo clearly isn’t up to the task, but that’s the Governor I’ll be.”

Attorney General Aaron Ford is running for Governor to end the cost-of-living crisis and lead Nevada out of the mess that Joe Lombardo and Donald Trump have created. As part of his ‘Affordable Nevada’ agenda, he has outlined plans to stop companies from unnecessarily raising the cost of basic essentials like gas, groceries, and health care. Earlier this year, Ford warned gas companies against using the Iran War as an excuse to pad their profits at the expense of consumers.
