WATCH: Ford Corrects The Record On Lombardo’s Latest Ad Full Of Lies

Today, Attorney General Aaron Ford’s campaign released a new TV ad, “Outrageous,” debunking Lombardo’s false claims about Norman Smith’s case. The ad highlights independent reporting correcting the record that Ford did not seek a pardon or early release for Smith, Lombardo and Ford’s Pardons Board voting records being nearly identical, and violent crime decreasing during Ford’s tenure as Attorney General. The ad also highlights Ford’s record of cracking down on sex and drug trafficking and putting dangerous criminals behind bars.

As Nevada’s chief law enforcement officer, Ford has stood up for victims and made public safety a top priority. Ford led the effort to clear Nevada’s rape kit backlog and bring justice to victims, resulting in 1,100 DNA matches and 64 arrests as of 2021. While Joe Lombardo supports defunding the police and betrayed state police by voting against their pay increases, Ford made sure the vote passed and officers received the pay raises they deserved. And when a Lombardo-endorsed prosecutor refused to prosecute a 40-year-old murder case, Ford stepped in, took over the case, and delivered justice. Lombardo feels the need to distort Ford’s record because he can’t defend his own record of backinging Donald Trump whose name appears in the Epstein files more than 5,300 times

The ad will air on broadcast in the Las Vegas market starting today.
