Ford Raises More Than $2.7 Million In 5 Months, Historic Grassroot Support Across Nevada

With more than 10,000 individual donors and 90% of contributions being less than $125, Ford touts record-breaking grassroots donations

Today, Aaron Ford announced that his campaign raised more than $2.7 million in 5 months, marking one of the strongest fundraising starts by a gubernatorial challenger in Nevada history. The total includes $2.23 million raised directly into his campaign and nearly $500,000 raised by an affiliated PAC – with nearly $2 million cash-on-hand between both entities.

With more than 10,000 individual donors and 90% of contributions being less than $125, the campaign’s early strength reflects record-breaking grassroots donations. With donations from each of Nevada’s 17 counties, including educators, health care workers, and law enforcement, Ford’s grassroots support signals a commanding start and shared effort to move Nevada forward.

In September, Ford’s campaign announced that it set the record for most raised in the first month by any non-incumbent Democratic candidate for governor in Nevada history. General Ford continued this strong momentum despite being unable to raise funds during the legislative blackout periods of January 4th until July 3rd and again November 13th until December 5th.

“Attorney General Ford has visited all 17 of Nevada’s counties and heard directly from Nevadans who are suffering in the Lombardo-Trump economy — being squeezed by record high costs while struggling to make ends meet,” said Ford for Nevada Campaign Manager Zoë Kleinfeld. “Nevadans are asking for leadership that meets this moment. They’re looking for a Governor who understands the economic pressures people are facing and who has the experience to deliver real solutions and make our state more affordable. And they’re finding that in Aaron Ford.”

Ford’s campaign is supported by a broad and growing coalition of elected leaders, labor, education, and advocacy organizations – including Nevada’s entire Democratic federal delegation, a majority of the Nevada Legislature, and other leaders from across the state. Ford has also been endorsed by CWA Local 9413, IBEW 401, UAW Region 6, Operating Engineers Local 3, Reproductive Freedom for All, Planned Parenthood Advocates Mar Monte, Nevada State Education Association, Washoe Education Association, and others – all citing Ford’s record on affordability and workers’ rights, as well as his vision for a strong, diversified economic future.
