PRESS RELEASE

Ford Raises $5 million In Q3, Outraises Incumbent Joe Lombardo’s Campaign by 50 Percent

With nearly 22,000 individual donors, Ford’s Q3 campaign haul of $2.28 million dwarfed Incumbent Joe Lombardo’s $1.55 million raise

Today, Attorney General Aaron Ford announced that he raised more than $2.28 million into his campaign in Q3 — outraising incumbent Joe Lombardo’s campaign by more than $700,000. Ford raised an additional $2.6 million into an affiliated PAC, bringing the combined total to $5 million. Between January and September, Ford raised more in the on-year than any non-incumbent gubernatorial candidate in Nevada history.

From July to September, Ford received contributions from nearly 22,000 individual donors — 92% of them $100 or less — including from educators, nurses and doctors, service workers, and police officers. Despite eight-figure spending against his candidacy since February, Ford’s record-breaking grassroots operation has kept up with Lombardo’s billionaire-funded, dark money-dependent campaign keeping the race within the margin of error throughout the cycle.

“Attorney General Ford’s historic grassroots raise is further proof of the momentum he’s building in the final weeks of this race, as undecided voters turn their backs on the failed Lombardo-Trump economy and join Ford’s movement to build a Nevada that working people can actually afford,” said Ford for Nevada Campaign Manager Zoë Kleinfeld. “Joe Lombardo is a bought-and-paid-for politician whose campaign is on life support; without Trump’s billionaires friends’ PAC donations, Lombardo wouldn’t have the funds to communicate to voters right now. Aaron Ford is the candidate of working-class Nevadans. With the resources necessary to continue reaching voters, a strong ground game, and a message of lowering costs that resonates with Nevadans from all walks of life, the wind is at Ford’s back to finish this election strong and win.”

Ford’s campaign is supported by a broad and growing coalition of working Nevadans. Ford has been endorsed by Culinary Union 226, Nevada AFL-CIO, AFSCME Local 4041, Building Trades of Northern Nevada, TWU Local 577, SEIU Local 1107, CWA Local 9413, IBEW Locals 401 & 357, UAW Region 6, Teamsters Operating Engineers Locals 3 & 12, Laborers’ Union Local 169, IATSE Local 720 & 363, Ironworkers Locals 118 & 433, IUPAT Local 16, Bricklayers Local 13, Reproductive Freedom for All, Planned Parenthood Advocates Mar Monte, Nevada Solar Association, Nevada State Education Association, Washoe Education Association, and others—all citing Ford’s record on affordability and workers’ rights, as well as his vision for a strong, diversified economic future.
