PRESS RELEASE

ICYMI: Ford Calls on Trump to Refund Nevadans for “Pain at the Pump” While Lombardo Refuses to Co-Sign

On Thursday, Attorney General Aaron Ford held a press conference to demand Donald Trump refund Nevadans $2,000 for the financial pain caused by rising gas prices due to Trump’s Iran war. Ford urged Joe Lombardo to join him in calling on Trump to put money back in Nevada families’ pockets. Lombard refused – even after asking Trump to spend more taxpayer dollars on the war driving up families’ costs.

Since Trump unleashed his costly war with Iran, gas costs nearly $5.40 per gallon statewide, while diesel reached a record-high at $6.86 per gallon. That means you pay more not only to fill your tank, but also for groceries and other essentials delivered by truck. Nevada families are tightening their belts while Trump pours their tax dollars into another costly overseas war – and Lombardo cheers him on.

Lombardo has repeatedly embraced Trump’s war and refuses to demand direct relief for the people paying for it. price. Aaron Ford is offering a clear alternative: end the costly conflict and return $2,000 to Nevada households. While Lombardo embraces this war every chance he gets, Ford continues to stand up to Trump and warned gas companies not to use the resulting gas price surge as an excuse to artificially inflate gas prices even further.
