Ford Breaks Fundraising Record, Raises More Than Any Non-Incumbent Democrat In Nevada History
“Pretty impressive [raise] in a short time” – Nevada Independent CEO, Jon Ralston
This week, Attorney General Aaron Ford announced that he raised $1.1 million in July and August. In the 30 days following launch, Ford raised $460,000 into his campaign — the most raised in the first month for any candidate challenging an incumbent governor, including Joe Lombardo. Ford also raised more than any non-incumbent Democratic gubernatorial candidate in Nevada history. With 3,237 individual donors, 85% of them being under $100, and donations from all 17 counties, Ford’s support signals a commanding start with broad support for his candidacy across the Silver State.
In July and August, Ford raised nearly $800,000 into his campaign and an additional $305,000 into an affiliated PAC, bringing the total raised to $1.1 million.
