PRESS RELEASE

Attorney General Aaron Ford Accepts Debates While Lombardo Continues to Duck Reporters

Today, Attorney General Aaron Ford accepted the following debates to provide a contrast to Joe Lombardo’s affordability crisis and bring his message of lowering costs directly to Nevada voters:

  • In Las Vegas, on October 13th: KLAS will partner with Entravision and KTVN to ensure voters in the north and south, no matter the language they speak, will have the opportunity to tune in.

  • In Reno, on October 8th: the League of Women Voters will partner with local radio station KUNR and KTVN will live stream the event.

“Joe Lombardo is hiding from reporters and refusing to answer to voters after spending his tenure as governor prioritizing padding the pockets of Trump’s Billionaire friends while raising costs on working families,” said Ford for Governor Campaign Manager Zoë Kleinfeld. “Attorney General Aaron Ford is ready to stand on a debate stage and hold Lombardo accountable for the financial harm he and Trump have caused Nevada families. General Ford has completed two statewide tours, visited all 17 counties multiple times, and has heard the same story over and over again: the cost of living in Nevada is too damn high. Lombardo has had nearly four years to lower costs for working families and has failed – he owes Nevadans answers.”

Nevadans deserve to hear directly from Lombardo about why he has raised costs for working families, why he lies down for Donald Trump, and why he continues to put his billionaire donors over everyday Nevadans. The Ford campaign is setting a September 28th deadline for Joe Lombardo to agree to debates.
