Ford Statement On 19th Straight Month of Tourism Decline Caused by Lombardo-Trump Tariffs

In response to new data showing that visitors to Las Vegas fell for the 19th straight month in August, Attorney General Aaron Ford released the following statement:

“The Lombardo-Trump economy is devastating Nevada families, jobs, and businesses. The tariffs that Trump enacted and Joe Lombardo supports have caused prices to soar and tourism to plummet — destroying the ability of middle-class visitors to spend their money here in Nevada. Lombardo said that Nevadans need to “feel a little pain” from Trump’s tariffs, and for the past nineteen months that pain has been unrelenting. Enough. As Governor, I will keep fighting Trump’s tariffs in every way possible and take immediate action to bring costs down for Nevada families and businesses .”
