PRESS RELEASE

Reproductive Freedom For All Endorses Attorney General Aaron Ford for Governor

Today, Attorney General Aaron Ford announced that he has received the endorsement of Reproductive Freedom for All. Ford has a proven track record of standing up for reproductive rights, including suing both the Trump and Biden administrations to protect access to reproductive health care.

“I am proud to have the endorsement of Reproductive Freedom for All,” said Attorney General Aaron Ford. “Throughout my career, I’ve fought to protect reproductive freedom — suing both the Trump and Biden administrations to safeguard access to reproductive health care. The decision to start a family may be the most consequential decision a woman will ever make, and it should be hers alone — made in privacy with the support of her doctor and family.”

“Aaron Ford is a relentless fighter for reproductive freedom in Nevada, and his victory will be pivotal to protecting abortion access for not only Nevadans but nationwide for people who need to travel to Nevada to get lifesaving care,” said Reproductive Freedom for All, President and CEO Mini Timmaraju. “Reproductive Freedom for All is proud to endorse Aaron in this pivotal race, and we look forward to electing him in 2026 as Nevada’s next Governor.”

“Nevada needs Aaron Ford as our next Governor,” said Reproductive Freedom for All Director of Nevada Campaigns Denise Lopez. “He has been a leader and champion for reproductive freedom legislation in Nevada, and he has proven time and again that they have what it takes to fight back against anti-abortion extremists. As Trump and the GOP ramp up their efforts to restrict our healthcare with their ultimate goal of banning abortion nationwide, we know that Attorney General Aaron Ford will fight to keep Nevada a reproductive freedom state. Our battle-born Nevada members are ready to get to work to elect Aaron Ford as our next Governor.”

Attorney General Ford has a Proven Track Record of Standing Up for Reproductive rights:

  • One day after being sworn in, Attorney General Ford added Nevada to lawsuits aiming to block rollbacks on birth control requirements in employer-sponsored health insurance plans.

  • Ford sued the Biden administration to improve access to Mifepristone.

  • He sued the Trump administration for attempting to defund Planned Parenthood.

  • Attorney General Ford led an amicus brief filed by 20 states arguing that a state can’t limit abortion services due to availability in a neighboring state.

  • Ford challenged a Texas US District Court ruling that suspended the FDA’s approval of mifepristone.

  • He joined an amicus brief urging the Supreme Court to reverse their decision to restore restrictions on Mifepristone.
